John Pitre's Hawaiian Pipeline Closeout is a collaboration between Don Merkle who took the photograph, and John's artistic flavor to the giant and unforgiving reef break at the world-famous Banzai Pipeline, located at Ehukai Beach Park in Pupukea on Oahu's North Shore. Pipeline is most known for its shallow reef that forces incoming ocean swells into a tube-like wave that surfers can ride. Waves at Pipeline average around 9 feet (3m) but can go up to 20 feet (7m). Swells larger than 20 feet tend to "closeout" as the underlying reef structure can not support them.

All artwork is hand signed by John Pitre in Gold.

Custom sizing and canvas types are available for all artwork.

Limited Editions are hand signed, and numbered; reserved sequence numbers are available.
